Services

We offer a variety of services to help your pet live a happy and healthy lifestyle. Please contact our offices to schedule an appointment, or to learn more about a specific service.

New Puppy / Kitten

Your puppy or kitten visit is much more than a simple check up with vaccinations. Our staff will help guide you in the right direction regarding the general care, feeding, behavior modification and living recommendations for your pet, as well as provide you with a pet portfolio to keep track of your pet's health care history.

Spay / Neuter

Keeping your pet health and limiting the wild pet population is very important to all of us. In most cases, your pet will not need to even spend the night to be neutered. The veterinarian will need to see the animal for a general examination, and in some cases pro-operative bloodwork, before performing any surgical procedure. Vaccinations

Most pet owners see the veterinarian for an annual check-up and round of vaccinations. These preventative vaccines help protect your pet from a variety of diseases commonly found amongst domesticated animals. Our clinic offers rabies, feline & canine distemper, lymes, feline leukemia,  kennel cough and canine influenza vaccinations.

Microchipping

The veterinarian can inject a tiny microchip, about the size of a grain of rice, beneath the surface of your pet's skin between the shoulder blades. No anesthetic is required, and after filling out some simple paperwork, your pet is protected to a higher level than simply wearing ID tags. Microchipping has helped return millions of animals to their owners, with protection costing just pennies a day.

DNA Testing

Have you ever looked at your "mutt" and wondered: "What ARE you?!" Our simple DNA test requires we extract just 2mls of blood from your pup, which is sent to a labratory to determine his or her breed makeup. Many of our customers have been quite surprised with the results of their pet's test, and so could you! Besides simply knowing the breed of your pet, DNA testing offers insight into your pet's behavior and genetic predispositions to disease.

Dentistry

We can take care of general cleanings and most dentistry work right at our clinic, with the majority of visits not requiring a night's stay. Because anestheia is used most of the time, a pre-procedure examiniation and sometimes bloodwork is required before any procedures are performed. Afterwards, we can discuss the future care and cleaning of your pet's teeth.

General Surgical Procedures

Sometimes pets develop lumps, cysts, skin tags and other unsightly and often detrimental growths. In the event that these growths occur and need to be removed, our clinic can generally perform the surgery on sight, often with the potential for you pet to go home the same day. If your animal has a growth that you are unsure of, please contact our offices to discuss a course of action.

Radiology

Our facilities include an in-house x-ray machine and processor. If your pet can be handled easily, we can often take x-rays and show you the results in the time it takes you to thumb through a magazine. If your pet tends to "wiggle" we can sedate him or her to capture the necessary images. X-Rays allow us to get a visual of the inside of your pet's body, revealing broken bones, obstructions, bladder/kidney stones and other abnormalities.
