Services

Dickinson-McNeill Veterinary Clinic offers many services to the small pet owner.

New Puppy/Kitten

Regular physical examinations and vaccinations can help your puppy or kitten to live a health, happy life. You can help protect your new friend by fllowing your veterinarian's recommended immunization schedule. Your puppy or kitten visit is much more than a check up. Our staff will help guide you in the right direction regarding the general care, feeding, behavior and living recommendations for your pet, as well as provide you with a pet portfolio to keep track of your pet's health care. Dr. McNeill has 30 years of experience working with young pet owners as well, and can help guide your children in the right direction with their new friend.

It's easy to get started. Simply contact our offices at (609) 298-0900 and speak with an animal healthcare professional who can schedule your new animal visits and answer any questions you may have.

Spay/Neuter
Keeping your pet healthy and limiting the pet population is very important to all of us. In most cases, your pet will not need to even spend the night to be neutered! The veterinarian will need to see the animal for a general examination before performing any surgical procedure. For more information about spaying and neutering, please click here.

Vaccinations
Keeping your pet healthy and active requires some mandatory and optional vaccinations. Our clinic offers rabies, feline & canine distemper, lymes, & bordetella vaccines. Please contact our offices to discuss vaccinations for your pet, and to schedule an appointment to have your pet vaccinated.

DNA Testing
We offer the Wisdom Panel Canine DNA test to those pet owners who would like to determine the breed or breeds of their "mutt". The procedure is simple: You contact our offices to schedule and appointment, we take a sample of your dog's blood, and the results are delivered to you and us in about 2 weeks! The results are prepared as a portfolio that discusses the breeds found in your dog, plus distinguishing factors of those breeds that may help explain what you see in your pet. The cost is $125 for the whole test, start to finish. Please contact our offices to schedule a dna test today!

Microchipping
A veterinarian simply injects a tiny microchip about the size of a grain of rice (12mm) beneath the surface of your pet’s skin between the shoulder blades. The process is similar to a routine shot, takes only a few seconds, and your pet will not react any more than he would to a vaccination. No anesthetic is required. Contact our offices to schedule a microchipping appointment today. Watch this video to learn more

General Surgical Procedures
Sometimes our pets develop lumps, cysts, skin tags and similar growths. In the event that these conditions need to be removed, our clinic can most likely perform the surgery right in our clinic. If your animal has a growth that you are unsure of, please contact our offices to schedule a visit. We will take a look and may recommend removal.

X-Ray
Our facilities include an in-house x-ray machine and processor. If the animal can be handled easily, we can take x-rays and show you the results while you wait just a few minutes. If the animal "wiggles", we can sedate it to capture the necessary images. Please contact our offices to inquire about our x-ray services.

Forms and Paperwork
If you need to kennel or ship your animal, you will need to present the related organization or company with the appropriate paperwork. Please contact our offices a few weeks in advance to travelling, boarding or shipping so we can check your pet's records and provide you with the paperwork you'll need.
